CTO Denis Mandich joined innovators from Google Quantum AI, IBM, NVIDIA and more at the first-ever Quantum Tech Showcase on Capitol Hill.
NEW YORK — May 1, 2024 — Today, Qrypt’s Chief Technology Officer Denis Mandich championed the power of quantum-computing technology, participating in the first ever Quantum Tech Showcase on Capitol Hill. The event, hosted by the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, included innovators from over 20 leading companies in quantum computing and artificial intelligence, including Google Quantum AI, IBM, and NVIDIA.
At the showcase, attended by congressional staff and members, Mandich talked with Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), ranking member of the Consumer Protection, Product Safety, and Data Security Subcommittee.
“Qrypt was honored to attend the Quantum Tech Showcase on Capitol Hill today, presenting alongside innovators from Google, IBM, NVIDIA, and more,” said Denis Mandich, a physicist and the Chief Technology Officer of Qrypt. “While quantum computing offers unprecedented opportunities, it also introduces new and complex threat vectors. It is critical that we invest in the security infrastructure to protect these advances as they develop, which was a central theme in our discussions today with Sen. Blackburn and policymakers in the Senate.”
“As much as any U.S. company, Qrypt understands what is possible, positive and negative, for business and security as we move into a world increasingly dominated by advanced technologies like quantum computing and artificial intelligence,” said Kevin Chalker, founder and chief executive officer of Qrypt. “It was great, then, to have Denis and our team there to showcase the capabilities of our technology and to offer his expertise to staff and members at this Capitol Hill showcase. It further demonstrates that Qrypt is one of the leading innovative voices in this space.”
The showcase, held in the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C., was organized by the Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C).
In addition to Qyrpt, the other showcase exhibitors were Amphenol, AOSense, Bluefors, D-Wave, Google Quantum AI, IBM, Infleqtion, Keysight Technologies, Maybell Quantum Industries Inc, NVIDIA, Octave Photonics, PsiQuantum, qBraid, Q-CTRL, Quantinuum, Qubitekk, Qunnect, Resilient Entanglement Inc., RTX BBN, Sivananthan Laboratories, and Vescent Photonics.
